Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically-supported course, that combines the skills of mindfulness and self compassion, providing a powerful tool for emotional resilience. Research shows that MSC boosts happiness and improves relationships, while reducing anxiety, depression and shame. The MSC program was co-developed by Christopher Germer, leader in the integration of mindfulness and psychotherapy, and Kristin Neff, pioneering researcher in the field of self compassion. Together they also founded the Center for Mindful Self Compassion. Christine is grateful to have been directly trained first as a MSC program participant, and subsequently as a MSC program teacher by Chris and Kristin.

Christine Grace and Community offers seasonal 3 hour, online Mindful Self Compassion retreats. Retreats create an opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in the practices of Mindfulness and Self Compassion. Practices include: Self Compassionate Body Scan, Affectionate Breathing, Loving Kindness for Ourselves, Giving and Receiving Compassion, as well as savouring and gentle movement practices. Intended to refresh and deepen practice, the CGC retreat is ideal for Mindful Self Compassion program graduates, participants of MSC practice circles, and those familiar with the teachings and wisdom of Mindful Self Compassion. Practice Circles offer participants a dedicated space to engage in the practices of Mindful Self Compassion within a beloved community. Practice Circles are open to all who desire to strengthen and deepen their personal practice of Mindful Self Compassion. Sessions are live online, are 45 minutes in duration, and are gifted offerings. Christine has facilitated Center for Mindful Self Compassion (CMSC) – Circles of Practice since their inception in 2020. With her commitment to further cultivating compassionate communities, Christine is also offering CGC Practice Circles.
