MINDFUL SELF COMPASSION
Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) is ‘loving, connected, presence’. The approach encourages us to be with ourselves in kinder and gentler ways, and includes fostering self-care practices as well as nurturing ourselves during times of personal suffering.
MSC was developed in 2012 by Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer, with whom I was grateful to train with both as a program participant, and teacher.
I am a Certified Teacher of Mindful Self Compassion. As well as my own offerings, I’m honoured to be a member of the faculty of the Center for Mindful Self Compassion, where I deliver the full MSC Program Live Online and contribute my time as an CMSC Circles of Practice Facilitator. It is also my great pleasure to be a faculty member of The Centre for Mindfulness Studies, and to co-facilitate the delivery of the MSC Program.
I continue to guide the full MSC program within in my role as a Mental Health and Wellbeing Counsellor in a Family Health Team. As well as teaching MSC, I also facilitate conversations, workshops and retreats about Mindfulness, Self Care and Self Compassion.
